We are a fast growing business with the capacity to run multiple projects throughout central London, with experience working in some of the cities finest properties to the highest of specifications. We can provide complete project management and a full turnkey service, and have considerable experience of working with international clients. We have the ability to offer all trades plus specialist services where required.
We understand that our success comes from our relationships with our clients, all of whom have direct access to their designated project manager 6 days per week.
- We can provide full project management with plumbers, carpenters, electricians, roofers, tilers, bricklayers, plasterers, steel fixers and decorators all operating under one roof
- We are able to offer a seamless project management service through our strong relationships with structural engineers; architects and interior designers; party wall surveyors; planning supervisors; quantity and independent surveyors.
- We can have the experience to run projects requiring underpinning, basement tanking, complex structural steelwork, structural repairs, complex down takings and temporary roof structures.
- We also have relationships with specialist contractors such as air conditioning engineers, damp proof specialist and audio visual consultants.
- We have undertaken major top end refurbishment and building projects throughout London including high specifications projects in Mayfair, Chelsea, Kensington, St Johns Wood, Marylebone, Belgravia, Holland Park, Fulham , Wimbledon and Hampstead.
- We have skilled craftsmen capable of carrying out period restorations and top end finishes. Including restoring damaged cornices and highly detailed plaster work, intricate mosaic tiling, complex bespoke carpentry and both decorative and lighting special effects.
- We have experience in working in both green field and brown field sites including building on contaminated land. Mindful of the environmental impact of construction works, where practical and appropriate we recycle and use recycled materials, all our waste is disposed using registered companies that minimise the use of landfill.
- We are happy to examine project briefs for areas in which we believe we can deliver cost savings to our clients.
- We are able to provide qualified advice on both energy efficiency and have the ability to carry RD SAP assessments
- Project overruns are often caused by the inherent difficulties in managing disparate contractors and contractors providing overly optimistic completion dates. You can avoid both these problems by employing Argyll and receiving guaranteed start dates and realistic completion dates.

- A dedicated site manager and daily oversight by senior management.
- Working on site 9 hours per day 6 days per week in order to complete in the minimum time possible. If projects fall behind we have the capacity to allocate additional labour and management and to work overtime in order to bring jobs back on track.
- Accessible management 8.30 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday & 9 am to 3 pm on Saturdays. Any calls going to a voicemail we endeavour to respond to with in 3 working hours.*
- We have considerable experience in working with innovative methods of construction such as system build and timber frame.
- ABS management have the planning skills and experience to programme projects in a realistic and professional manner.
- We understand the importance of ensuring that the projects critical path is clearly identified, mapped, understood, communicated and adhered to.
- We have a core of key tradesmen who have worked with us for a number of years. We understand that the lynch pin of successful building sites is a determined and competent foreman and we build our teams around such individuals.
- Long standing relationships with first class specialist sub contractors enable us to turn around most commercial projects under £1m and all types of residential building projects regardless of scale or complexity. It also enables us to maintain a cost effective and flexible capability.
- The tools we use to implement our plans are weekly management meetings to assess progress on each site.
- These involve the analysis of progress on each and every site, with a submission of actual and forecast labour and materials plans by all site managers which are reviewed with ABS senior management. Programmes are amended if required and additional resources are allocated if necessary to ensure adherence to the programme.
- We engage with clients and accommodate their requirements via regular updates and site meetings.
- Our management structure involves experienced site managers being overseen by an area manager, who is in turn supervised by an operations manager, reporting to the M.D.
- We motivate our managers and staff with a bonus system based on achieving quality projects on time and to budget.
Site Management
- Every job will have a polite and helpful site manager supervising the works.
- Every job will also benefit from the daily oversight of a member of Argyll’s management team.
Guarantees / Contacts / Insurance
- All works are covered by guarantees appropriate to the project.
- To avoid unnecessary legal costs we prefer to use standardised contracts provided by the Federation of Master Builders.
- All projects are covered by full and up to date public and employer’s liability insurance. Copies of policies are available on request.

Commercial and Domestic
- We have experience in undertaking shop, restaurant and office fit outs.
- We also have undertaken the cleaning and painting of major office buildings both internally and externally.
Overseas clients
- We have undertaken numerous projects for clients based overseas in the US, Japan, Bahrain, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and several European countries.
- We keep them involved in the decision making process via regular email updates and digital photo’s of works in progress and completed tasks.
